Summary
"Early Science and Medicine is an international journal dedicated to the history of science, medicine and technology from the earliest times through the end of the eighteenth century. It takes a particular interest in the text-based traditions that link antiquity with the Latin, Arabic, and Byzantine Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and the early modern period. It favors diachronic studies in a variety of forms, including commented text editions and monographic studies of historical figures and scientific questions or practices. Further focal points of the journal are historical scientific instruments (to which regular feature articles are dedicated); the history of scientific iconography (discussed in a second series of regular feature articles); and the history of methodological approaches to the history of science, medicine and technology."
