Summary

"Founded in 1947, the BSHS is Britain's largest learned society devoted to the history of science, technology and medicine. Current members include lecturers, writers, students, teachers, museum curators and private individuals. Our aim is to bring together people with interests in all aspects of the field, and to publicise relevant ideas within the wider research and teaching communities and the media."

(Description taken from site.)

Even without being a paying member, researchers can access information about grants and prizes, progress made by the Outreach and Education committee, a database of theses published in Ireland and the UK up until April 2007, and links to relevant blogs, historical resources, institutions and societies, museums and libraries, journals, and online projects. This is in addition to information about membership, society publications and news, and conference information.
